Pengaruh Stimulasi Titik SP6 (Sanyinjiao) melalui Teknik Akupresur terhadap Durasi Persalinan Kala 1 Fase Aktif di PMB Diati Pakis

Labor in the first stage, especially the active phase, often experiences prolonged duration due to ineffective uterine contractions, which can increase the risk of complications for both mother and baby. This study aimed to determine the effect of SP6 (Sanyinjiao) acupressure stimulation on the duration of the active phase of the first stage of labor. This research used a quasi-experimental design conducted at a midwifery practice in Malang from January to March 2026, involving 20 primigravida mothers divided into intervention and control groups. The intervention group received acupressure stimulation at the SP6 point, while the control group received standard care. Data were analyzed using the Mann–Whitney test. The results showed that 80% of respondents in the intervention group experienced faster labor (≤360 minutes) compared to 30% in the control group, with mean durations of 260.50 minutes and 443.00 minutes, respectively. Statistical analysis showed a significant difference (p = 0.000). In conclusion, SP6 acupressure stimulation is effective in shortening the duration of the active phase of the first stage of labor and can be used as a safe non-pharmacological intervention in midwifery care.
