Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a global health problem that affects millions of people, with hemodialysis as the primary therapy in the late stages of the disease. Hemodialysis patients often face anxiety due to physical, mental, and social changes. Spiritual support plays an important role in reducing anxiety and improving the quality of life. Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of spiritual education in reducing anxiety in hemodialysis patients. Methods: Education using systematic observation of the literature review based on the guidance of the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI). Literature review searches were conducted in various databases, PubMed, Google Scholar, BMC, ScienceDirect, Wiley Online Library, Breflands and ResearchGate. Using relevant keywords, resulting in 10 articles that are explained in depth. Results: Spiritual education was effective in reducing the anxiety of hemodialysis patients by improving understanding, providing meaning in life, and strengthening coping mechanisms. Supporting factors include nurse involvement, access to information, and family support. The obstacles found include limited resources and lack of awareness. Conclusion: Spiritual education contributes to improving the psychological well-being of hemodialysis patients. The role of nurses in providing a holistic approach is essential to help patients cope with physical, mental, and social challenges.
